Happy T-B-J Tuesday! Here are 3 healthy living Tips, 2 Book recommendations (one self-improvement and one fun), and 1 Journal prompt to ponder this week!
T: 3 Healthy Living Tips
☀️ There is no food worse for you than having an eating disorder.
☀️ You are ready to change when you are more afraid to stay the same than to do something different.
☀️The most sustainable way to eat: Have what you want and add what you need, like this!
B: 2 Book Recommendations
📚For Self Improvement (on Food Freedom): If Not Dieting, Then What? by Dr. Rick Kausman
This book is far from perfect, but I think Dr. Rick Kausman does an incredible job outlining why diets don't work and what to focus on instead. If you are healing your relationship with food and want to strengthen your knowledge of why diets don’t work and what to do instead, pick this up as your next read!
📚For Fun (a memoir): I'm Glad My Mom Diet by Jennette McCurdy
Okay, I am not sure that ‘fun’ is the correct word for this book, but WOW. There haven’t been many books that I keep thinking about after I finish reading them, but this was one of them. So raw, vulnerable, and powerful. Please read the trigger warnings before picking up this book, but I highly recommend giving this a read.
Quick Synopsis (from Amazon): A heartbreaking and hilarious memoir by iCarly and Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy about her struggles as a former child actor—including eating disorders, addiction, and a complicated relationship with her overbearing mother—and how she retook control of her life.
