Happy T-B-J Tuesday! Here are 3 healthy living Tips, 2 Book recommendations (one self-improvement and one fun), and 1 Journal prompt to ponder this week!
T: 3 Healthy Living Tips
☀️3 Things You NEED To Know About Ending Binge Eating:
01. Just not buying binge foods will never help you long-term.
02. It does not matter how badly you want to stop binge eating. If you don't do anything different, nothing will change.
03. Your smallest weight might not be your happiest weight.
☀️If your brain says: ‘Ugh, I was so bad today, I'll just keep eating and be better tomorrow.’ > Let’s Try: I am learning to make peace with food. It is not going to be perfect. However, I can still choose to listen to and honor my body's needs today.
☀️ If you want to build a new healthy habit, stack the new habit onto something you already have a habit of doing. For example, if you want to start journaling (new habit), put your journal next to your coffee maker (established habit).
B: 2 Book Recommendations (one self-improvement and one fun)
📚For Self Improvement (on Healing Your Relationship With Food): Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch
If you are working on healing your relationship with food and you haven't read this yet – my friend *lovingly* WHY NOT?! This book felt like a breath of fresh air and is a resource I go back to often if I am ever questioning my behaviors around food. This is a MUST-read (and a have-to-have on your bookshelf).
📚For Fun (Romance): Indigo Ridge by Devney Perry
A romance and a slight thriller – say no more! I could not put this book down, AND this is part of a series that is also excellent. Extremely engaging, with a plot twist I was not expecting.
Quick Synopsis (from Amazon): Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty, and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana’s new chief of police, she’s determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn’t earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor. According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the town’s founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didn’t realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty.
Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake she was trying to forget. He’s insufferable and arrogant, reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden's property, they have no choice but to cross paths. As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincy’s own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer.
