Comfort turns into an issue when what initially kept you grounded begins to hinder your progress. When the actions you take for immediate relief end up causing more harm in the future.

It's okay (and very healthy) to say, "What works for them might not be the answer for me." It doesn't mean you're weak or doing something wrong. This is about honoring what's best for you.

Hard Truth: You did want it. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have eaten it. You might not be aware of the part of you that wanted it, but there is a part of you that did.

So instead of: Why did I eat that? I didn’t even want it!

What if you ask: I wonder what part of me did want to eat that? What did I get out of eating that?
