Ryann Nicole The Perspective Shift

Hey There, I'm Ryann Nicole.

I’m a recovered binge eater who changed the story from something that happened to me to something that happened for me. Now, I’m a licensed therapist teaching you to do the same.

My mission? To help you ditch food stress and live your life with mental peace and freedom every single day!

The Perspective Shift

Welcome to The Perspective Shift! A weekly newsletter by Ryann Nicole designed to help you see food, your body, and healthy living in a whole new light.

Generational Diet Trauma

I had a video go viral on TikTok a few days ago. And honestly, that always makes my heart race a bit because when videos blow up, they often end up on the wrong side of the internet, and the comments can get brutal.

But this time, it was different. The comments were heartbreaking.

People started sharing their stories—about how their moms shaped their relationship with food and how they’re seeing those same patterns show up with their own kids.

And that got me thinking…

Something To Think About

Breaking the cycle of disordered eating through generations isn’t just hard because the beliefs are old—it’s hard because they feel normal. They’re the stories you’ve grown up with, the ones that whisper, “This is how it’s always been. This is just how things are.”

Something To Reflect On

What would it look like to be the one who finally says, “The cycle stops with me”? To decide that you get to stop the cycle, to be the one who learns to make peace with food and your body, so your kids don’t have to go through what you did?

Something To Challenge Yourself

This week, challenge yourself to notice just one belief about food or your body that isn’t truly yours—something you picked up along the way. When it shows up, pause, take a deep breath, and remind yourself: “This ends with me.”
