Welcome to The Perspective Shift! A weekly newsletter by Ryann Nicole designed to help you see food, your body, and healthy living in a whole new light.

Embracing the Unknown

There’s no secret that there’s a lot of “unknown” energy in the air lately. Whether it’s big changes happening around us or just those little, unexpected twists in our day, sometimes we find ourselves in a space of not knowing what’s next. And if I’m honest, it can feel a bit unsettling to sit with that, right?

And that got me thinking…

Something To Think About

So much of our day-to-day lives revolve around trying to feel certain, to know what’s coming next. We make plans, set goals, and put routines in place to create that feeling of stability and predictability.

But what if we could find peace even in the moments when things feel a little… unsteady?

What if the key to calm wasn’t in controlling everything, but in building a sense of trust in ourselves to handle whatever comes our way?

Something To Ask Yourself

When you think about uncertainty, what feelings come up? Do you feel the urge to take action or change things right away? Or maybe you feel tension and wish you could “just know” how things will play out. What would it feel like to let go of that urge to control, even just a little bit?

Imagine finding comfort in knowing you can handle the unknown, not because you have every answer but because you trust yourself to find your way through.

Something To Try

This week, practice leaning into that feeling of uncertainty. When you feel yourself wanting to control the outcome of something—whether it’s your schedule, your food choices, or even conversations with others—pause for a moment. Instead of reacting, take a deep breath and remind yourself that it’s okay not to have all the answers.

Try telling yourself, “I can handle what comes.” Notice how it feels to let that be enough.

Remember, real peace isn’t about having control over every outcome—it’s about building the confidence that you can face the unknown and be okay.
