I’m a recovered binge eater who changed the story from something that happened to me to something that happened for me. Now, I’m a licensed therapist teaching you to do the same.
My mission? To help you ditch food stress and live your life with mental peace and freedom every single day!
Join us for another much-needed recovery story featuring special guest Michelle Ho (@coach_michelle_ho). Michelle courageously shares her journey of battling binge eating and, most importantly, how she found her way to recovery.
Tune in as Michelle offers insights, tips, and inspiration for anyone navigating their own journey with binge eating. Her story is a beacon of hope and a reminder that healing is possible.
About Michelle: Michelle was a personal trainer and endurance athlete who struggled with binge eating in the background. Feeling ashamed and like a “fraud” in her work was what drove her to finally get help and do the work to break free from the binge-restrict cycle 6 years ago. Through recovery, what she learned transformed her entire perspective around food, health, and nutrition. Now as a nutritional therapy student, trainer, Safe and Sound practitioner, and recovery coach, she’s on a mission to be part of the movement that shifts the health industry from one of shame-driven tactics, to compassionate solutions.
Trigger Warning: In this episode, Michelle will bravely open up about her personal struggles with binge eating. If hearing detailed accounts of binge eating is not supportive to your journey, we encourage you to skip this episode and prioritize your well-being.

“People looked up to me. They were like, wow, you’re so healthy. How do you eat so healthy all the time? But in the background, I was struggling and my binge eating was getting worse.”
“It just felt like this switch in me flipped. Like, I was a different human. I was the binge Michelle now. And it just felt like I had to. I had to eat.”
“So one of the first things that she had me do that was extremely helpful is actually, she had me just clarify the fact that there were two parts of me, one that wanted to binge and the other one that didn’t. And they were both there at the same time.”
“If you’re struggling with binge eating nothing’s wrong with you. Nothing is wrong with you. It’s not you. Binge eating is a symptom.”
