Lisa Schrader

Registered Dietitian + Co-Coach

Lisa Schrader is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). She is the founder of Thoughtfully Fueled. Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Physiology from The University of Iowa, and she furthered her education with a Master's degree in Sports Nutrition from Concordia University Chicago.

Why Lisa Chose This Path:

"Before establishing Thoughtfully Fueled, I spent several years in the fitness industry witnessing diet culture masquerading as "healthy" or "clean" eating. During that time, I felt immense pressure to conform to certain body ideals, which led me to constantly obsess over food, skip social gatherings for workouts, and even compare myself to unrealistic online images.

After years of struggling, I decided to break free from the diet and fitness culture mindset and embark on my intuitive eating journey. This transformation completely reshaped my perspective on food, exercise, and body."

What Food Freedom Means To LISA:

"To me, food freedom signifies the joy of embracing unexpected moments. It involves relishing unplanned coffee outings, indulging in sweets, savoring girls' nights, and enjoying dinner dates. The activities I used to decline in the past have now become enjoyable and stress-free surprises."

Lisa’s Advice for Those Healing Their Relationship with Food and Body:

"I suggest taking small, gradual steps on the journey to food freedom. While the desire for complete food freedom is strong, the real transformation occurs along the way."
