Hey there, it’s Ryann from Coffee Talks Therapy Podcast. Today, I’m sharing five simple habits that have truly transformed my life. These changes aren’t monumental, but they’re incredibly impactful. Let me share why I incorporated these habits and the positive shifts they brought to my life.

Understanding the Power of Habits

Habits are the key to unlocking a lifestyle where health and wellness seamlessly integrate into your routine. They become automatic, requiring no extra effort. If you’re striving for food freedom or body acceptance, examining your habits is a great starting point.

Life-Changing Habits

  1. Making the Bed Daily: For seven years, making my bed has been a non-negotiable morning ritual. It prevents me from crawling back in, providing a sense of order and calm. A freshly made bed sets a positive tone for the day, especially during hectic mornings.
  2. Scheduled Movement Time: At the beginning of each week, I review my schedule and carve out dedicated time for movement. I don’t plan specific workouts, allowing flexibility. Scheduling this time ensures I prioritize self-care amidst a busy life, making movement a consistent part of my routine.
  3. Food Prepping, Not Meal Prepping: Instead of preparing specific meals, I prep individual components like protein, veggies, and carbs. This allows flexibility, and I can mix and match throughout the week. It ensures I always have nutritious options on hand, preventing the stress of having nothing to eat.
  4. Journaling When Upset: While I may not be consistent with daily journaling, I keep a journal for moments of distress. When upset, I pour my thoughts onto paper, helping me gain clarity and perspective. The act of writing down thoughts, even if I don’t revisit them, provides a release.
  5. Constant Hydration: Staying hydrated can be a challenge, so I strategically place empty glasses in key locations to serve as reminders. Additionally, if you use a large water bottle, refill it whenever it’s halfway. This ensures a constant supply of water, promoting hydration without feeling forced.

These five habits might seem small, but their impact on my overall well-being has been profound. They’ve helped me embrace health and wellness effortlessly. If you’re intrigued, give them a try, but remember, it’s okay if they don’t align with your priorities right now. We’re all a work in progress. Wishing you a fantastic day, and I’ll catch up with you soon.
