One food that will forever be a classic is the beloved toaster waffle. If you had a similar childhood to me, weekday mornings before school usually included some flavor of Eggo waffle either drenched in syrup or peanut butter. Oh, the nostalgia is so real! While I love my waffles the same way now, I also like to add other macronutrients to my plate to serve alongside them, which helps me feel fuller and satisfied for longer. Today, I’m going to show you my 3 favorite ways to ‘balance out’ toaster waffles!

What I love about toaster waffles is that they serve as sort of a blank slate for an infinite number of flavor combos. Toppings can range from closer to the traditional style with syrup to more out-there combos, like nut butters, cottage cheese, or even hummus! Not to mention, there are all the waffles flavors to play with, as well. The options are endless to not only ‘balance out’ your waffles, but to take your breakfast game to the next level (while still keeping prep time short and sweet!) 🧇 🤤

Note:

This balancing method is just that… a method. It is not the way you “must” prepare your waffles in order to be a meal. This tool is meant to be used on the days when you want something with a bit more staying power. As we always say in this community, this is a tool, and most definitely not a rule!

P.S. Not sure if you have seen, but baby Charlotte is here 🥹 Time has truly flown.
