The Perspective Shift

Welcome to The Perspective Shift! A weekly newsletter by Ryann Nicole designed to help you see food, your body, and healthy living in a whole new light.

Over the past few days, I’ve been reviewing your applications for the fall cohort of BEU. One of the questions asks, “How long have you been struggling with binge eating?”

Out of the 60 applications I’ve received so far, do you know what 47 of you said?

And that got me t

You’ve been struggling with binge eating for more than 5 years.

And even more heartbreaking—over half of those 47 shared that it’s actually been more than 10 years. 💔

And that got me thinking…

Something For You To Think About

Most people tell themselves that they’ll start their binge eating recovery once they feel more ready or less afraid—when in reality, it’s taking that first step toward recovery that actually helps them feel more ready and less afraid.

At some point, you need to just do it. If you continue to wait, you’ll be waiting forever.

Get Honest and Reflect

What have you missed out on by waiting for “the right” time to start healing? How much time have you wasted believing that this diet would be different—only to find that it never truly is?

Challenge Yourself This Week

Give yourself permission to heal now. After all, things don’t need to be perfectly scheduled for you to make time for healing—if you have time to binge, you have time to heal.

You’ve seen this with so many things in life: Remember when you started a new job or had your first baby? Timing wasn’t perfect and you definitely did NOT have all the answers, yet you did it. You learned. And look at you now!

But if you’re anything like me, you needed help. And there’s nothing wrong with help!

NEW THIS WEEK

Applications Are Open For BEU

there are only 15 spots available! Smaller group = deeper healing. Apps close on August 28th or whenever all spots are filled. Whichever comes first!

Ep.3 Ready To Stop Feeling Addicted To Sugar? Right This Way…

I know I don’t know many of you personally (yet), but I can probably assume that you are a very disciplined person, a bit of a perfectionist, and someone who puts everyone else’s needs before your own. You’re not lazy. You’re detail-oriented, and when you put your mind to something, you make it happen—except not eating the freakin sugar when you told yourself you wouldn’t. In episode 3, let’s break down why this is happening.

Cant control yourself around sugar?

I think we can all agree that its a lot easier to just not eat Oreos than it is to sit and process all of the unhealed emotional turmoil making you want to numb out and eat the entire box of Oreos. But is it easier?

See ya next week!
