I used a homemade banana walnut muffin in this bowl, but I have also used premade muffins from the grocery store! There is no right/wrong choice here. Use any muffin you enjoy! Also, feel free to mix and match between muffin and yogurt flavors… there are so many potential combos to explore! 🤤

There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating a muffin by itself! Sometimes all you want and need is a muffin, maybe warmed or straight from the wrapper. I repeat: There is NOTHING wrong with that! Dive into that craving, and allow yourself to fully enjoy the heck out of it. I share this recipe for those days when you want the muffin AND want to bring it to the next level.
Maybe you have a busy few hours ahead and need something more nutritionally balanced to keep your blood sugar stable for longer. Maybe you want to eat a mix of temperatures and textures. Whatever the reason is, this recipe is a way of practicing the “add-in” method around food and does not represent a “right/wrong” choice. (We know those don’t exist when it comes to food.) Listen to YOUR body and needs to decide what is the best option for you!
